IMPORTANT GROUNDS INFORMATION

To all Junior & Senior Pirate Team Coaches/Managers (Baseball and Softball),

It would be greatly appreciated if all coaches could encourage your team to help maintain the diamonds they train and play on throughout the season.
The ground staff are only asking that each team, baseball or softball take five to ten minutes to redress the diamond and return equipment correctly after games and/or training.
It is requested that all teams do the following after training and/or games;
Ensure all drop in plugs are replaced back
Base bags are removed an stowed in trolleys
Pitchers plate and pegs (x 2) placed in trolley (If these are left lying around they make quite a mess of lawn mower blades)
Hammer and tape measure (rewound) placed in trolley
All dirt cut outs – drag with carpet or use a rake (preferred)
Holes around home plate and pitchers plate area are filled in.
Equipment trolley returned to front room and placed in correct location
Any additional equipment returned to front room and placed back in shelves
Witches hats returned to front room in the space between the seats and fridge
Dugouts cleaned and rubbish removed and disposed of correctly
Line marking equipment & batting box template returned too front room in its correct location
If you use the bull pens, redress them after use and fill the holes (there is a rake in the front room)
On game days – take a wheelie bin up to the diamond you are playing on. Ensure all rubbished is collected from both home and visitors dugouts and spectator areas. Wheelie bin returned back to bin area if you are the last game.

Teach your players to respect the diamond!

Our Grounds Crew are volunteers and NOT paid for their work. If you have parents, players that would like to offer some help, come down on a Friday and lend a hand.

We welcome your feedback/questions. Please feel free to send your comments or queries to any member of the Executive Committee and we will endeavour to get back to you.

Once again, welcome to the Quakers Hill Pirates – it promises to be a great season… AAARRRGGGHHH!!

Kind Regards,

Matt Waller – Club President Quakers Hill Pirates Baseball and Softball Club
